Chapter History

The Zeta Gamma Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Youngstown State University was established in 1964 as the 124th link in the chain of chapters. There are currently 257 active chapters of Zeta Tau Alpha. May our links never be broken.

Our sisters are passionate, driven, and committed to the fight against breast cancer. Events such as Pink Pancakes, Panerathon, Pink Out Week, and PRCC, have all made direct impacts in our local community for the cause. Through the efforts of our annual philanthropy events, our chapter has been successful in raising over one million dollars for our philanthropy.

In Zeta Tau Alpha, the bond between our sisters is unlike any other. In all areas, our chapter has excelled and has won numerous awards for our academics, philanthropic efforts, and programming. Our chapter is proud to have been awarded as Youngstown State University's Sorority of the Year for the past 10 consecutive years. At the national level, our chapter has been awarded the Silver Award and the Crown Chapter Award.

We are very proud of our accomplishments and hope to continue the legacy of excellence for the future of the Zeta Gamma chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha.
